Price: plans by users against plans by calendars

Acuity counts calendars, and a calendar can be one person or one location. Starter has 1 calendar, Standard up to 6 and Premium up to 36. Billed monthly they cost $20, $34 and $61 a month; billed annually, $16, $27 and $49 a month. Acuity says it charges no set-up, cancellation or support fees.

Trafft counts users and locations: Mini has 3 users and 3 locations, Growth 5 and 5, Professional 15 and unlimited locations, Business 30 and unlimited. Billed monthly they cost $9.99, $24.99, $49.99 and $79.99 a month; billed annually, $7.99, $19.99, $37.99 and $62.99 a month. Both price lists are before tax, and both charge per plan.

Free plan and trial: Trafft Free against Acuity's 7-day trial

Acuity has no free plan. It offers a 7-day trial with no credit card needed, and annual billing is chosen in account settings after the trial starts. Trafft's Free plan costs $0 with 1 user, 1 location and 100 appointments a month, and its paid features can be tried for 14 days against Acuity's 7.

Rooms, equipment and reminders by plan

Acuity says it lets you assign shared resources to classes so rooms and equipment are not double-booked, and its pricing page names no plan for the feature. Trafft's Resource Management is on Professional and Business, $49.99 and $79.99 a month, billed monthly.

Acuity lists email reminders on all three plans and text reminders on Standard and Premium. Trafft sends email reminders on every plan and sells SMS credits separately on Free, Mini and Growth; Professional includes 5 a month and Business 10.

HIPAA and data: a signed agreement on Acuity Premium

Acuity Scheduling lists a signed BAA for HIPAA on Premium, $61 a month, billed monthly. Trafft publishes no HIPAA statement or business associate agreement on the pages read. It says it works in compliance with GDPR, encrypts data in transit with TLS and hosts with Hetzner in Germany; those are Trafft's own statements, and is Trafft legit sets them beside its Terms.
