What the Trafft Free plan leaves out: calendar sync, groups and deposits

The Free plan has one user and no Additional Users. A user is a team member the plan counts, and an Additional User is a seat bought beyond its limit, so a second person who takes bookings means a paid plan: Mini includes 3 users, and each extra one costs $4.99 a month, billed monthly.

Free does include a booking website and link, QR code booking, an embeddable form, the WordPress plugin and Square payments. Email reminders run up to 200 notifications a month; text reminders use SMS credits, an add-on on Free.

The lowest plan that adds what Free lacks:

  • Mini: group bookings, buffer times (padding around an appointment), Google, Outlook and Apple calendar sync, customer import.
  • Growth: Service Extras (add-ons a client picks), Special Days (dates with different hours), Stripe and PayPal payments.
  • Professional: Resource Management (rooms, chairs and equipment booked with a service), recurring appointments, deposits.

What happens when the Trafft 14-day trial ends

When the 14 days end, Trafft says you are not charged and the account keeps the Free plan. You can upgrade instead; Trafft says to add a card only when ready.

Trafft's sign-up guide says all features and integrations are open during the trial, but no Trafft page names the paid plan it runs on. Anyone already on a paid plan is not eligible, and Trafft decides who qualifies.

Per the Terms of Use, moving up from Free bills the next period at once, and a downgrade waits for the term to end.

Trafft sign up: the steps, the verified email and refunds

Signing up for Trafft starts at Get started for free on its home page and ends with a verified email address.

  1. Create the account; Trafft's guide says no card details are entered.
  2. Verify the email address; Trafft says email and SMS notifications require it.
  3. Stay on the Free plan, or upgrade and add a card when you are ready.

After an upgrade, Trafft's home page offers a 30-day money-back guarantee, while its Terms of Use say fees are non-refundable and no page states the guarantee's conditions. Trafft pricing sets the two side by side.

Setmore, Square Appointments or Calendly as a better free start

Trafft's Free plan suits one person who wants a booking website, Square payments and email reminders at no cost. Other free starts:

  • Setmore Free: $0 for up to 4 users; it has no recurring appointments and no two-way calendar sync.
  • Square Appointments, Square Free: no monthly subscription cost, only processing fees; Square describes it as for solo professionals.
  • Calendly Free: one event type and one calendar connection.

The free appointment scheduling software comparison lines them up beside Trafft's.
