What is Trafft? The short answer

Trafft is hosted online booking software: Trafft runs it, and every account, Free plan included, gets a booking website where clients see real-time availability and book at any hour. It schedules staff, locations, rooms and groups in one account, sends reminders and lets clients pay by card through a connected provider. Plans run from Free at $0 to Business at $79.99 a month, billed monthly, as read on October 8, 2026.

Trafft says more than 50,000 businesses use its booking software, counting users of its sister product Amelia, a WordPress plugin from the same company. Trafft free covers the Free plan and the 14-day trial.

How clients book: booking website, embedded form and QR code

Every plan gets a booking website, a shareable booking link, QR code booking and an embeddable booking form, and the free Trafft plugin puts the form on a WordPress page.

Trafft checks the assigned employee's own working hours first, so a day off removes the slot. Every service duration must divide by the time slot step, the increment of the booking grid, which is 30 minutes by default. By default clients can book up to the last minute before a start and as far ahead as 100 days.

The booking website carries Trafft's branding until Business, which adds a custom domain and removes it. The Trafft review goes plan by plan.

What Trafft schedules: staff, locations, rooms and groups

Plans cap users, the team seats, and locations: Free 1 and 1, Mini 3 and 3, Growth 5 and 5, Professional 15 and unlimited, Business 30 and unlimited.

Resource Management, from Professional, has Trafft check the rooms, chairs or machines a service needs before it confirms a booking. Group bookings, from Mini, take several people up to a capacity set per service; below the minimum, the booking waits as Pending.

One limit: Trafft has no dedicated Events feature; its help center sets up one-time events as services.

Reminders and payments in Trafft

Email reminders come with every plan, capped at 200 notifications a month on Free. Text reminders use SMS credits: Professional includes 5 a month and Business 10, while Free, Mini and Growth buy credits separately.

Clients can pay by card through Square on every plan. Stripe, PayPal, Mollie and Authorize.net start on Growth, and deposits start on Professional. Trafft says it charges nothing per booking on any plan; card processing fees go to your payment provider.

Trafft and Amelia: the hosted product and the WordPress plugin

Amelia comes from the same company as Trafft, according to Trafft's own comparison post, and the two are separate products. Trafft is a hosted account; Amelia is a WordPress plugin, and its Resources are managed from the WordPress dashboard. Amelia Starter is $49 a year for 1 domain, a domain being a website a license covers. Trafft vs Amelia compares them.

Pick Trafft when booking should be hosted for you, and Amelia when it must run inside your own WordPress site. Calendly suits one-to-one meetings priced per seat. A new Trafft account can try the paid features for 14 days before choosing a plan.
