Try Trafft free for 14 days →Keep Square for card payments, move the booking: Trafft
Trafft accepts Square payments on every plan, Free included, so a business can keep Square for card payments and move the booking. Locations come with the plan: 1 on Free, 3 on Mini, 5 on Growth and unlimited on Professional and Business. Trafft says it charges nothing on the bookings themselves; the payment provider charges its standard processing fees.
Rooms and chairs are Resource Management on Trafft, which starts on Professional at $49.99 a month, billed monthly. Square's resource management is on Premium at $149 a month per location, and a Square resource can only be assigned to one business location.
A yoga studio running capped group classes and one-to-one sessions at two locations shows the difference. On Square, class booking starts on Plus and the fee applies to both locations. On Trafft, Group Bookings, which takes more than one person per slot up to a capacity set for each service, starts on Mini, whose one price includes 3 locations. Scheduling software for multiple locations compares more options for several sites.
Per-calendar and per-user pricing: Acuity Scheduling and Setmore
Acuity Scheduling counts calendars, one per person or location. Starter has 1 calendar at $20 a month, billed monthly, with a 7-day trial that needs no credit card and no free plan. Setmore counts users, one for each staff calendar: Pro is $12 per user a month, billed monthly, and Free covers up to 4 users.
Per-seat and per-team-member pricing: Calendly and Fresha
Calendly charges per seat, a paid user who connects a calendar and hosts meetings. Standard is $12 per seat a month, billed monthly. Its Free plan has one event type and one calendar connection, and a 14-day trial comes with the paid plans.
Fresha charges per bookable team member, one who has calendar bookings switched on. Its price is on Fresha's pricing page. Fresha says it charges no booking fee for each appointment, and it gives businesses with teams a 7-day trial with no credit card required.
What you give up when you leave Square Appointments
Square sets no employee limit, so staff calendars can be added without a plan change. Trafft's Business plan includes 30 users, and Additional Users are $9.99 a month each with monthly billing. Enterprise, which has no published price, is for more than 50 users.
Square Free has no monthly subscription, only processing fees: online card payments are 3.3% plus 30 cents on Free and 2.9% plus 30 cents on Plus and Premium. Square's 30-day trial on Plus and Premium is longer than Trafft's 14 days for paid features.
