What the model calculates
The interactive worksheet uses identical appointments. Each needs one eligible staff member, one room and one equipment unit throughout the same occupied interval. Simultaneous capacity is the minimum of those three available counts. A separate cycle calculation adds service, preparation and reset minutes, then fits complete cycles into the entered working window. The resulting daily figure is a simple planning ceiling under synchronized starts, not a recommendation to fill every minute.
What it deliberately leaves out
The model does not include breaks, mixed services, variable travel, partial resource use, group attendance, late arrivals or demand. It cannot know whether staff are qualified or equipment is usable; you must enter the relevant available counts. It also does not connect to Trafft or any other booking product. A numerical answer therefore does not verify a product configuration, and a larger number does not mean that customers will actually book those appointments.
Read the example as an example
With three eligible staff, two rooms and one equipment unit, simultaneous capacity is one. If the service lasts forty minutes with ten minutes preparation and ten reset, a four-hour window contains four complete sixty-minute cycles under this model. The equipment is the binding constraint. Buying a second unit would change the arithmetic, but the worksheet does not evaluate whether that purchase is sensible, affordable or supported by actual demand.
Use the result to ask a better question
Compare the model with a hand-drawn schedule and investigate any difference. A difference may be caused by a legitimate staggered workflow or by an omitted constraint. Leave unknown inputs blank rather than substituting optimistic counts simply to obtain a more appealing capacity number.
